Well, not too much improvements needed

but it's just not fun at all. A few ideas that might make a little better:

- Difficulty settings (more money per shape, but more health) or (newer enemies quicker).
- More shapes (octagon, oval, rectangle, 6 sided star, etc.).
- Bigger playing area.
- Boss every 30 seconds or something.
- Maybe more background music loops.
- Fix the auto-heal upgrade?
- Interest rate for every ten seconds.
- More upgrades such as: Auto-bots ($200, but slow), Increase interest rate ($25, but increases difficulty) or amount of money received from shapes, Armor for base

avocode responds:

Thanks for the constructrive crisicism. I'll consider those.

Oh, and what's wrong with auto-heal?

For some reason I think this is stolen.

I've seen this same version on newgrounds before, but since I reviewing the game, I'll write about the game:

First, the enemy's are too small and I don't know who they are and why we have to kill them.

I don't like the way that the turrets auto position themselves. It would look more realistic if they rotated.

Air monsters don't make any sense, because they all travel by land.

How do you get more health?

Difficulty settings?

Is this the preview?

It's nice, but it looks more like a demo to me. Where did everything go? What's new? No dual weapons or game modes or anything. It looks just like Thing-Thing 3.

Sure, it's a good game, but it's exactly the same as the rest of 'em minus the fun.

Trash.

Not even gonna bother writing a detailed review. I just don't like it, at all. No substance or anything fun for that matter. I see why it didn't any rewards, but I am surprised it got on the front page. It was just horrible, I'm sorry. Xeno Tactic was a way better clone.

Quite flawed.

---PROS---
I didn't even know that this was a remake until I read the description, but I can see a few awesome upgrades. The graphics, most notably, were definitely beefed up. Although, I care more about the game play then the graphics, this game play wasn't really lacking at all. It seemed almost the same as the previous games, but it felt more tweaked and perfected, with the physics and whatnot. That's about it though.

---CONS--

Ok, this just may be my motor vehicle training, but if an engine is off, then no gas is being used. There are several cars, like the Prius, that shut off the gas and run just on electric. So, why in the hell would you make the gas keep running while you're airborne? This makes no fucking sense. There are several ways to overcome this. One, have the energy slightly boosted every time you blow someone up. Two, make the fuel blood so that when you kill pilots, your fuel increases. Or three, the simplest answer ever, no fucking energy is wasted while you're in the sky, so there for you have time to get all the explosions you need.

Problem number two, why do they only fire one oversize, yet undersized explosion, bullet? I've seen helicopters, they can hold two or three bombs at least.

That leads onto the next problem, why can't you chase the helicopters? Your fake dynamic screen is really limited because you can't chase the 'copters. Add to the fact that they shoot off the screen, only one round, and end up chasing an invisible wall. Maybe instead of a scrolling background, why not an actually level? One where you can speed up or slow down, depending on where the enemies are on your radar.

Radar is another problem, but small. One, the red blips don't go away after they are destroyed until about a half a second later, which is very annoying. And two, they don't help you predict when an enemy is coming because they only show up when the enemy is there and not when they are coming.

A few extra improvements would be more medals (higher combos and stuff), more game modes (such as combo only, if you touch the ground you die or maybe height game with enemies on every elevation +/- 100 feet of you, with high scores and stuff), cheats or unlockables, new enemies or bosses, and maybe some customizability in the tank.

---BUGS---

The music acts funny, sometimes it loops, sometimes it just stops. And the mouse focus thing was weird too. Again, that sometimes didn't work and when it did, it made it a pain in the ass to continue playing because one, our hands are on the mouse and not the keyboard, and then, two, when we move our hand back, it doesn't move because we haven't clicked, so it's really annoying.

---SUMMARY---
Doesn't need work, but it would be nice to see in later versions. Overall:

Gameplay: 8/10 Definitely upgraded from the previous versions, but still had some technical difficulties.

Music: 1/10 One song that looped forever, well sometimes it disappeared.

Graphics: 9/10 Superb, just could use a little customization.

Interactivity: 8/10 Co-op looked nice, multi-player would be cooler, but aside from a few little problems, it's quite alright.

Originality: 7/10 It's a remake.

Overall: 6/10 and 5/5. Pretty decent, few things I would consider if you make any more sequels. I don't mind the music loop being played in the menu, but a few extra loops wouldn't hurt.

Bleh.

- Too static. There is no randomness at all. They all travel in neat little square lines. Very boring. There are such things as circles.
- Seriously. Why would make a bomb game with bombs that shouldn't be blown up? This is stupid.
- No background music? Come on, at least give us one reason to like this game.
- Lol, you definitely have 1337 fire drawing skills.
- I actually like the explosions, but the smoke trail (I guess) is laughable.
- Gray background. 'Nuff said.
- Why don't the bomb explosions leave behind any damage?
- Sometimes the bombs glitch out and stick on the walls
- Hit tests on the blue guys is horrible. I have to click a dozen times before anything happens.
- Level editor?
- Score? High scores would epic too.
- I noticed you mentioned it earlier, but you really need more bombs. Heat seeking bombs, napalm bombs, atomic bombs (spread 8 fireballs instead of 4), bouncing bombs, slow/fast bombs, small bombs (shoot one fireball in one direction, good for pink levels), sidewinder bombs (only 2 fireballs, but they travel in circles, gradually increasing in the radius), et al.
- Bomb selection. 1 thru 0 would select a different bomb, but you still only be able to use one per level.
- Boss levels? It would take, I dunno, 10 fireballs shot off from other littler bombs to kill it, or whatever.
- Cheats or unlockables would be nice.
- Level 19? Really? Cut us some slack, please.
- The bombs look stolen too, or just completely unoriginal.

Overall, very very limited game. No originality, no dynamic motion, very dry graphics, no playback value what-so-ever, and just frankly annoying. I wouldn't mind so much hearing the dunce sound every 5 seconds if there was some damn background music. Honestly, check the audio portal for loops, they won't add too much to your file size.

2/10 because it's been done before and way better if I may say so myself.

Lame.

Protection points are useless.

The rest of the game is just crap, pardon the pun.

1 for graphics.

Definitely not going to vote for this game.

Absolutely a mess! The 20 seconds of night turned out to be more then 4 minutes!

The game started glitching out on me after awhile and became unplayable.

During combat, you cannot select anybody so repairing bases became impossible.

Why did the mines stop at night? That is asinine.

Graphics on the creatures were ridiculously stupid.

Boring and quite lame.

Yup.

Didn't like it.

I think out side of the box, and outside of that box, and outside of that one, and outside of that...
