Meh.

Boring. I'm going to save you the trouble of telling you every last thing that's wrong with it because, well simple, the whole thing is wrong.

Everything is off, there is no balance. I played the game on "hard" and didn't note any difference on "easy".

Your numbers are weird too. There is no descriptions of what percentage the money tower does, if any.

I'll wait til the sequel and let you know more precise details.

Dude.

AWESOME!!!!

This game kicks ass!!!

I'm gonna be playing this for a long time!

5/5!

Boring

Innovative I guess, but it lacks completely.

I think a sequel with more features is need. Using your points to buy upgrades would make the playback value way higher (get it? haha):
- (for example: Steel + on strength but - on cost)
- Upgrades like longer beams, upgraded steel, more lightning poles, etc.
- crossbeams

VoidSkipper responds:

Yepyep, I can see a bit of that happening. There'll be a sequel, fear not.

Controls are shit.

I like this game, wish there was two buttons tho, but the graphics kick ass.

But what is with the controls? I'd have to press left almost 30 seconds ahead til it actually moves.

It's ok.

- Too laggy.
- Too cluttered. The art is cool, but there is just too much on the screen.
- Coins are out of sync. If a close enemy drops coins, they should be in the same place, not 4 tents behind him.
- Screen is slightly too zoomed in. A bigger playing area or the ability to scroll left and right would greatly help.
- 10% BGM + 90% Frustrating = 100% Boring.
- Interactive backgrounds. I never got why you would trees and fire pits if you can't use them.
- Sometimes the pause button doesn't work. That might just be me.
- Clicking on the characters sometimes doesn't work. I think the selection area on them is too narrow.
- Very shallow game. Only 3 upgrades for the so-so amount of upgrades offered. There were only 7 or 8 different types of enemies. Very short game.
- No uniqueness. All the enemies would look the same, no red shirts or blue shirts or anything unique, and so was the blood.
- No difficulty settings.
- Unlockable cheats?
- Levels or something, maybe would be nice, to go back and play an easier level for fun without having to replay the whole game.
- I personally think it needs more variety in upgrades. Does it all have to be magic?
- The items are bit expensive. Again, if you had difficulty settings, this game could well rounded.
- Way repetitive. The bonus levels were far and few to keep me occupied. Every level was the same, regardless of the enemies.
- More destruction? The little spells offered seemed very weak. Upgrades, for the most part, were useless.
- No stability. The guys that are supposed to climb up the sides sometimes just ignore that and just walk on by. This just adds to immense amount of frustration. If you're going to have AI, which is a joke in this game, then at least be consistent. Either they all repeat the same action, which is the lazy way of coding it, or give them all AI, which would make it fun.
- Extremely static game. There is nothing at all dynamic, every player has the same experience, which is outdated is this day and age. There is no randomness, no surprises, no customizability, no substance. Very dry game.
- There is no auto save. Another annoying feature is the fact that you cannot choose to go to the purchase screen or save screen, it's automatic. Since your rates in this game are as inflated as Nazi Germany, it's impossible to buy something every round. Add that to the annoying segue that repeats every damn time you replay a level, and you have no fun what so ever. Again, no customizability.
- I liked the nature BG sound, but it loops after like 10 seconds, and that damn sheep is starting to piss me off. I used to live on a farm and I absolutely hate sheep. Llamas are cool though. This is just more lacking features to add to the static game play. I think it would sound cooler to have, not a loop, but dozens of animal sounds and just play them randomly.
- Some kind of BG music. I'm not a big fan of BGM, but this game absolutely needs something to keep my attention. But, these are all suggestions.
- I've played 20 some odd levels, is it all huts? If it is, I'm just going to stop playing. Not every villager lives in identical huts. There are dozens of different types of huts, let alone different straw configurations. I like the actionscript, very realistic except for the layering issues, but the repetitiveness of the artwork is just horrendous.
- If this game uses the cursor like a hand, shouldn't it be able to use weapons? Like picking up the villagers and smashing them against other villagers. Fireballs would be cool too.
- Instead of always having the same cursor, why not a fist or some way of smashing them or smacking them.

Anyway, I'd rather see a sequel a to Defend your Castle, then this, because it's a way awesomer game. Sometimes simplicity is the way to go. When you start getting too original, then you lose sight of the whole idea, it's just a game. To me this game is more originality then a game, which is why it lacked so bad in my opinion. Everyone has already listed why it kicks ass, so I decided to list why it doesn't, even if I don't agree with them all.

Boring.

Way too slow and no depth. Too game like; there is no fun to it. Plus, this game has already been made a dozen times, and far better versions if I may say so myself.

Bravo!

This game is perfect! There is not one thing I would change. Excellent work!

If you do make a sequel or plan on it, you should have small bonus levels. And instead of just scrolling left or right, it should scroll up and down too, with 100's of levels. For example, a bonus level of nothing but one level of 100 of the basic balloons, nonstop.

Few questions:

Stars, stripes? What the meaning behind them all?
Is there a bonus mode after you beat all 5 modes?
Anyone know what the second to last battle badges are?

What I liked:

Menu transitions, upgrades, massive levels, completeness, statistics, multiple save files, autosave, strategy, badges, muliple playing modes, et al.

Not much really to improve. The only thing I noticed was that bombs randomly exploded in the top left corner and sometimes the enemy would not show up until all of your airstrikes and what not were gone. I think the max level should be 30, either that or have it the levels increase exponentially, that way it would take forever to get above 30 or whatever. Also, it would be cool to see what badges you unlocked while your playing but it's all cool having them at the end. Maybe a combo system?

Now to address some of the other comments:

"...but the graphics were a bit bland." - This is isn't a fashion show, this is war!
"...BUT way too hard..." - You should probably go back to playing Dora the Explorer.
"What the fuck is up with the balloon with the nose painted up?" - Strategy: The science and art of using all the forces of a nation to execute approved plans as effectively as possible during peace or war.
"I seriously dont understand how to damage them..." - Ok, you need a build atleast a Rocket Launcher, maybe a Thunder Globe and definitely a Triple Cannon and/or Auxillary Flak ASAP in the level, that way they are high levels by the time they come around. Make sure you aim at them and nothing else until they are down. FIFO, first in first out. And also, call in the Winged Bombs for sure and also the Airstrike. The Airstrike will take care of the rest of the balloons while you aim at the main balloon. If it gets more than 50% of the screen and you have other dudes bombin' you, then I'd call in Support Fire.
"...but then my bullets went through the balloons..." - You gotta aim once in awhile.
"...needs background music" - Not if you like the sweet sounds of war! WWII didn't have any BGM and we still whooped their ass."
"Not totally origonal..." - I'd have to say that it's completely origonal, just as unique as you way you spelled origonal.
"...wish for some music mate" - I'm sure you have way better music then the creator. So just crank up your favorite yellowcard song on WMP.
"This game takes too way too long time to play." - There is a game called Bounce on Newgrounds that is only 2 minutes longs. Enjoy.
"Badges - only if we have a hint on what they are can we be able to obtain them, doing a guessing game will not be easy." - All the more fun.
"The main problem I had with it, is the aiming system" - Depending on the speed of yoour bullets, aims a little bit ahead of your target.
"And the main gun is too weak in general." - I think it's just fine. Perfectly balanced.
"Is it me or are the defensive buildings worthless?" - Naw, everyone of them has their own special purpose. Some levels require certain buildings and others don't.
"The only thing that kinda nagged me was when you purchased turrets, rockets, or anything else they were positioned horizontally and it made the first two to three an easy target..." I noticed this too, but I came to solve this dilemma by placing 2 Auxillary Flak towers in front of all of them. They can swivel almost 180 degrees, shitload of health, and they only cost 8000 max. However, another thing I've noticed that if you place the maximum amount of towers on the ground and last one is a Triple Cannon, it will not fire at all.
"Support units should be Intelligent..." - That's the only thing I somewhat agree with. I think the upgrades for these should lower the randomness and increase the accuracy.

10/10 and 5/5. Good job!

I guess its alright.

Candy corn? I guess one countries candy corn is another countries ammunition.

No save, no load, one cash bonus, no variables, only one upgrade for weapons, expensive upgrades, lack of damage, no story line, very simple boss levels (design-wise), good graphics but so-so different types of enemies, changing weapons during levels is impossible ( please implement scrolling on mouse), the crystals don't go away after the level is beat, no in-game bonuses (speed boost, damage upgrade, etc.), no rewards or prizes, upgraded virus gun was kinda useless, only 2 things you can upgrade, and ship speed upgrade is useless. 6/10 is pushing it, but I voted 5/5.

Kinda not super if it keeps blowing up.

Wayyyyyyy toooooooo slowwwwwww. Everything. Boring. I don't play games for the graphics, that's what movies are for. This is just way to slow for me. And the lack of sound effects just kills it.

Pretty good idea.

It's a good new concept.

Few things that kinda ruin the game experience:

Your hit tests are wayyyy off.
The game is too fast.
No BG music.
No back button or any way or replaying from the beginning.
The blue and red is simple but it would cool to have some more colors.
Also, it would be really nice if the atoms move at a random angle.

But I glad you got the scores fixed.

Yze responds:

Thank you for the suggestions. Will def put this into consideration for Atomz 2!

I think out side of the box, and outside of that box, and outside of that one, and outside of that...
